Samuel draws history!

So, Shawn is the history teacher around here. It was his minor in college and he's far more knowledgeable and passionate about it than I am. He and Samuel have been turning our upstairs hallway into a massive history timeline, which Samuel illustrates. Here is a sampling!

And, finally, my favorite two pictures. First, St. Catherine pleads with Pope Gregory XI to go back to Rome:
St. Catherine pleads with the Pope
(If you can't read that, St. Catherine is saying, "PLEASSSSSSSSSSE!" and Pope Gregory is all "FINE.")

And then, we have Michaelangelo's David. But, Samuel had some issues with the nudity, apparently. Fortunately, he also had a solution:

David looks a little surprised by the appearance of Columbus's ships nearby.

Maybe he has a future illustrating history textbooks for the prudish?
